PROJECT HISTORY

Provided a complete identity, single sign on, federation and web services roadmap, deployment plan and target architecture.  The project involved reviewing with senior management the enterprise's goals for the next five years, interviewing line managers to map out their business processes, interviewing data managers to map out identity databases, meeting web services team to educate them on scalable security practices, preparation of UML use cases, preparation of target architecture, design of the enterprise directory, RACF LDAP recommendations, PeopleSoft LDAP recommendations, contractor datastore recommendations, disaster recovery and high availability recommendations, provisioning recommendations and budget/time recommendations for implementation.

Complete a course in Oracle's Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) Process Manager

Did a complete review of Kaiser Permanente’s web single sign on systems with the goal to make recommendations to achieve high availability and also create a web single sign on factory capable of integrating over 1,000 applications.  Review  included target architecture, disaster recovery, performance, monitoring, directory review, Oracle CoreID review, personnel requirements, reorganization requirements, budgeting requirements and governance requirements.

Lead project consultant for creation of new SarBox provisioning project for 30,000 workers for access control application for 57 major financial applications.  Project involved reengineering of provisioning by deploying Sun Identity System Manager with new workflows.  Also involved cleaning up old worker identity data, redefining new workers authoritative sources for outsourced workers and upgrading of single sign on infrastructure for high availability.

Senior systems analyst work on identities, provisioning, access management and regulatory compliance/auditing as it pertains to identity management and privacy.

Senior systems analyst/project management for the financial services company.  Led consultants in preparing identity architecture strategy for Capital One Associates and Non-Associates.  Provided project management for Capital One's single sign on/ intranet portal project integrating Entrust's Get Access with Novell e-Directory and BEA portal using web services.  

Senior systems analyst work with Nulli Secundus to create a specialized LDAP directory tool, "Tier2Tier" to lower labor costs and reduce risk in migrating identity and web access control information between directory environments when the directory information is created by other applications into the directory.  Also created and delivered workshops on identity management and web access control in mid to large heterogeneous environments.  The workshops include senior and technical management overviews on the issues challenges and opportunities involved in identity management and web access control projects.

Senior systems analyst/project management for Boeing's Web Single Sign On initiative.  Work included budgeting, specifying and bringing on consultants and Boeing staff, infrastructure development, authentication interface development, business process development, quality assurance development, authorization policy development, reverse proxy integration and platform integration and design. The integration involved most hardware platforms, creating the processes for installing and maintaining thousands of WebGates on web, application and portal servers, processes for maintaining over a thousand security polices as well as creating the business processes for integrating more than 1,500 applications into single sign on with 2-3 million users. 

Wrote proposal to the federal government on behalf of the Justice Institute for Weapons of Mass Destruction training systems for emergency preparedness personnel. 

Systems analysis on PKI integration using Oblix NetPoint.  As a result, wrote a white paper on the critical issues of how to improve PKI manageability and usability, reduce complexity, enabling applications for use with PKI, integrating PKI into business process flows, integrating PKI into single sign on strategies and lowering total cost of PKI ownership.

Senior systems analyst leading project team in determining infrastructure requirements for B2B’s and B2C’s re identity management and web access control.  This included business process discovery and documentation, directory requirements definition, directory and web security training for middle managers, risk analysis, value proposition analysis and preparation, executive business case preparation, gas system vendor meetings to educate them on the benefits of using LDAP and security vendor analysis documentation, .  The team included directory architects, network and system analysts, line and management personnel

Senior systems analyst re authentication, authorization, auditing and identity management using LDAP directories and Oblix NetPoint to integrate ERP’s, portals and the many other back-office systems. As a result, wrote a white paper on same topics.

Senior systems analyst to define enterprise wide consulting services for Oblix’s new e-business infrastructure product “NetPoint”(www.oblix.com).  NetPoint is used to achieve single sign on, provide LDAP driven identity management and web resource access control across an enterprise and in B2B’s.

Work involved working with engineering, sales, marketing, professional services and technical publication teams to identify technical requirements in deploying across enterprises, directories, network operating systems, ERP’s, portals and other web based applications.

Created three sets of electronic consulting level documents of 350 pages on authentication, single sign on, authorization, identity management and web and directory system implementation.  Also produced MS Project files of over 2400 possible tasks in deploying the product through multiple scenarios.

Systems analysis/training delivery for LDAP based training courses covering overview of LDAP protocols, directory design, directory security, query syntax, replication strategies and the use of structural, auxilliary and sub-classes. (www.nulli.com and www.oblix.com)

Senior systems analyst re marketing systems reengineering project for large multinational running 74 lottery gaming systems.  Work included creating and leading teams for requirements definition, retail systems analysis, ECR analytics and systems requirements, SAP ERP/BIW systems integration, transaction systems meta data definitions, large volume Teradata data warehouse architecture and systems configuration, business case preparation, unified intranet, integration of Documentum into intranet and extranets and new knowledge based product creation.

Work included project management with multiple vendors and many internal teams.  Vendors included NCR Teradata, SAP BIW, Cognos, ETI, Equifax and NDS.  In addition to the data, retail and web teams I wrote 13 white papers on internal reengineering and created specifications for 6 new information based products.  Business to business initiatives included web-based EDI, extranet creation with lotteries for reporting and data transmission.

ECR initiatives included proposing new replenishment, assortment and promotions strategies and systems.  Components of this included product velocity assessments, linkage of ECR analytics to lottery call-center and retail key accounts, one to one system analysis, assortment measurement and analysis and retailer site selection modeling.

Systems analysis and design of 3,000-user intranet for paramedic training throughout the province of BC.  Work included definition of requirements for intranet, reviews of firewall security, IT personnel, network design, connectivity, datamart requirements, vendor RFP preparation, creation of the project management team, team intranet and training for the on-going project manager.

Systems analysis and design of 12 intranets linked to a national extranet, all of which linked via a datamart to 12 internet sites for the regional organizations.  Work included requirements scoping for all web sites and functions internally and externally, architectural design, workflow analysis and vendor management.

Systems analysis and design of intranet, extranets and internet.  Work included thorough review of all lottery business functions, workflow analysis, and marketing requirements.  Provided management of the overall project team composed of internal staff and external vendors and lead the project management for the creation of new lottery datamarts, intranet creation, 24 hour electronic intranet newspaper, intranet based executive information system, intranet based workflow automation, creation of lottery retailer extranet, creation of an intranet/extranet international lottery sales and marketing datamart.

Abbotsford, Langley, Maple Ridge and Mission School Districts, BC

Systems analysis and review of internal human resource and recruiting systems for intranet/extranet automation.  Work included workflow reviews of existing paper based human resources, personnel, payroll and recruiting functions, then definitions requirement for a unified HR function using intranets, extranets and a common HRIS/Payroll system.

Systems analysis and design of IT infrastructure for creation of a wide area metropolitan network, intranet and internet presence.  Work included network requirements definition, vendor negotiations and assembly of overall district technology plan.

Abbotsford School District

Systems analysis and review of technology infrastructure. Analysis included reviews of current network topology, asset management, connectivity/bandwidth requirements, network management tools, personnel requirements, administrative functions, IT budgeting, learning resource requirements and intranet requirements.  Work resulted in IT reorganization, new bandwidth implementation and a revised technology plan for the district.

BC Ministry of Education, BC

Produced Internet Compass for Schools, a print and electronic compendium of over 1,200 of the best internet based learning sites used by over 10,000 teachers.  Work included system design of web site, staffing and marketing for the product.

International Human Resource Information Managers

Workshop presentations on the use of the internet and intranets in human resources.  Workshops were presented in Dallas, Seattle, Chicago, Minneapolis, Orlando, Calgary, Toronto and Vancouver.  Workshops covered system design requirements for corporate web sites and intranet requirements internally for human resource function automation.

Ministry of Small Business, BC

Training on the system design requirements for using the internet in business workflow applications including marketing, finance and human resources.  Courseware was developed and workshops given throughout the province to over 8,000 business managers.

System analysis and review of a web based learning delivery system.  Work included learning and technology systems requirement definitions and acting as the technology advisor between the company and the Egyptian government.

BC Hydro, Vancouver

Systems analysis and review of human resource functions for placement on the internet and internal information bulletin board systems.  Work included workflow reviews of existing paper based human resources and training functions.  Internal bulletin boards were created and courseware was converted to self-paced learning systems.
