EXPERIENCE
I have lead several large complicated
Fortune 500 identity projects. They include:
- Boeing’s Global Single Sign On
(Oblix) – I led the team to deploy the infrastructure to
integrate 1,500 applications for 3 million users. We integrated
several forms of authentication (including AD/ Sun One LDAP, customized
reverse proxies, RACF, digital certificates and others). The
project was incredibly complex because of the organizational structure
of Boeing as well as all the operating platforms we had to integrate to
(Win 2000, Solaris, HPUX, AIX, Linux and others) and customized reverse
proxies. We also integrated directly with PeopleSoft HRMS.
We also integrated proximity cards. Finally I led the team to
integrate with Boeing’s role based access control system.
- Capital One’s Single Sign On
(Entrust) – I led the team to deploy the infrastructure to deploy
Entrust and integrate with the new BEA portal and PeopleSoft HRMS.
- Capital One’s Sarbannes-Oxley
Provisioning project (Sun) - I led the team to deploy provisioning for
57 applications (including PeopleSoft) for 30,000 workers. This was extremely challenging given that we had only
four months. We reengineered the business processes for the 57
applications and changed the way in which workers could apply and get
approval for being provisioned for applications
- Capital One SAML pilot – I lead the
team deploying SAML in a test pilot with an ASP
- Kaiser Permanente – I have recently
completed review of their entire web single sign on infrastructure
(Oracle CoreID). I recommended changes to the target
architecture, performance specs, high availability, monitoring,
personnel requirements, directory changes, management re-orgs,
budgeting, etc.
I have lots of experience setting up
single sign on, provisioning and identity federation, from the
architecture through to creating highly available systems, setting up
geographic failover and disaster recovery, implementing monitoring
systems, SLA’s, OLA’s, reorging the support teams to
provide adequate support etc.
